Enabling and Using the Switch Role Persona Feature

Steps to Enable the Switch Role Persona Feature

  1. Enabling the Feature in Company Settings:

    • Login to the Site Admin account go to Setup> Companies and select the relevant company.

    • Access the Settings section.

    • Locate the Switch Role Persona setting and set its value to 1.

    • Save the changes to enable the feature for the selected company.

  1. Assigning Multiple Roles to a User:

    • Assign at least two roles to a user that contains different personas.

      • Role 1: Assign a persona through the Type Persona option (e.g., Marketing Manager).

      • Role 2: Assign a role directly through User Info (e.g., Channel Manager).

    • Save the changes.

Using the Switch Role Persona Feature

  1. Accessing the Switch Persona Option:

    • Once a user has more than one assigned role, the Switch Persona option will appear upon login.

  2. Switching Between Personas:

    • Click the Switch Persona option.

    • Select a role (e.g., Channel Partner Option a or Channel Partner Option a ) from the available list.

    • The page will reload, reflecting the selected persona. The URL will update to indicate the new persona.

  3. Resetting to Default Persona:

    • Use the Reset button to return to the default persona.

    • The default persona is determined as follows:

      • For normal users, the default is based on their user profile.

      • For super admin users, the default is the role assigned by the super admin.

    • Upon reset, the page reloads and switches to the default persona.
