In order to add a custom font to your installation of Mindmatrix software, you can send in a request with the font names you require to
support@mindmatrix.net. Our team will advise you on next-steps.
Before you request to add a custom font, here is what you should know, as of August 2019. Currently custom fonts are only available to ENTERPRISE level Channel Enablement and Sales Enablement clients who have their own installation of Mindmatrix software.
There are two types of fonts in the Mindmatrix product:
- Web fonts
- Server level fonts
Server level fonts and web fonts carry different costs and obligations, so its important you understand the impact of your request.
Web fonts
Web fonts can be added and are used in landing pages and, if universally supported, email clients. You can call these fonts in most Mindmatrix assets that support CSS by calling them from your local server or any other web provider.
A good example of this is a font supported by
Google. You can test whether or not these will work in a web asset, by editing the HTML of any text object to add CSS.
Server fonts
Server-based fonts are entirely different! These are fonts that can be used in print assets, on some dashboard menus, and other asset menus. To support server fonts, Mindmatrix must:
- Purchase a license to support the font (This has an annual recurring fee, that may increase!)
- Install and test the font (This can take several days.)
- Update and release access to the font as part of our general release cycle (This must be scheduled.)
As a result, you should be advised of any potential costs with including your font as well as the risks/benefits.
Should you add your custom font?
