How can I streamline user engagement by Incorporating Course and Curriculum Activity Status?

This article presents a demonstration of a recent enhancement focusing on the integration of Course Activity Status and Curriculum Activity Status into user lists, user drip campaigns, and user scoring. The primary objective is to facilitate a more efficient and optimized approach to user engagement by considering their activities within specific time frames related to course completion or curriculum tasks.


User Smart List
  1. Begin by navigating to the list through the connection and list options. 
Note: Things may be under a different part of your navigation bar depending on your settings and customization. Contact your Support team or Consultant for further assistance if you can’t find the selection noted.



  1. Click on "Create" to initiate the process of building a user smart list.
  2. Go to the conditions page Under "User Activities," locate "User Engagement Status."
  3. Within this section, find "Course Activity Status" and "Curriculum Activity Status."
Select the preferred condition, such as "equal to," and set the desired time frame (e.g., 1 day to 7 days).


The system will automatically generate a list of users who have completed course activities or curriculum tasks within the specified time frame.

User Drip Campaigns

  1. Navigate to the setup and asset management section.
  2. Under this you will find the Drip Templates menu and click on the “Create” button.

  1. Once you reach the editor page Click on "Condition" within the editor.


  1. Similar to the user list, choose "Course Activity Status" and "Curriculum Activity Status."
  2. Apply the selected condition used in the user list, and the drip campaign will execute based on these criteria.
  3. Users meeting the conditions will receive tailored drip content, thereby enhancing their personalized user experiences.

User Scoring

  1. Go to Setup>Scoring> Click on “User Scoring”
  2. Once you reach the “User Scoring” page click on the “Create” button.


  1. You will see all the Scoring rule options here.
  1. Similar to the user list and drip campaign, include "Course Activity Status" and "Curriculum Activity Status" by selecting the “Engagement” Rule as seen in the below screenshot.



Assign scores based on user actions associated with course or curriculum activities.


  1. The scoring system will continuously update for each user, reflecting their level of engagement.
  2. Accessing the scoring details by reviewing the user report will display the details of how users have performed in terms of course and curriculum activities.
