How do I convert a Contact into a User? (Channel Managers)
*Only Admins or Channel Managers can convert a Contact into the Portal User.
Feature:
Using this feature, an Channel Admin or Channel Manager can convert any Contact into a Portal User. Upon conversion, an email can be chosen to be sent with instructions on how to log-in.
Who will be using this?
This feature is especially useful for Channel Managers and Channel Admins.
Benefits:
Using a Partner Portal Landing Page (talk to your Consultant or contact Support@Mindmatrix.net to have one built if you do not currently have one), you can easily be notified via email about a new contact requesting access to become a Portal User. This allows you to then log into your portal Channel Admin or Channel Manager user account to convert that contact into a Portal User, and notify that new contact with log-in instructions via a generated email to them.
1. To view your Contacts, go to Connections > Contacts
Note: On the Bridge platform, clients can personalize menu navigation to better suit the specific needs of their Users. Things may be under a different part of your navigation bar depending on your settings and customization. Contact your platform adminsitrator, Support Team or Consultant for further assistance if you can’t find the selection noted.
Converting a Contact from a Contact's 'Report' page:
2a. Click on the Contact that you like to convert.
3a. From the "More" drop-down menu, click on "Report". From the Report page, click on the "Covert to User" button.
4a. For all remaining steps, proceed as if you were creating a manually creating a User account.
2b. Click on the checkbox for the Contact entry you wish to convert. Then click on the vertical ellipses in the upper right hand corner and select "Convert to User".
