In an email AB test, a user sends off two versions of an email that have only one difference between them in order to test which version is more effective.
Instructions:
To create an A/B test, go to "Reports" and then "Communicate", and then select "Email A/B Test".
Give your test a name, and choose a sample size. A sample size is basically a number of contacts to which the templates will be sent to. For example, if we choose the sample size 500 then it will send the1st template to the first 250 contacts and 2nd template to the other 250 contacts.
Then click on the “List” to select the list of contacts.
Clicking on the “List” will lead you to the window from where you can select the list you want to use and then click on “Save”.
Then click “Add Template” to select the templates that you wish to use.
Clicking on the “Add Template” will lead you to the window from where you can select the email for A/B Testing.
Choose the subject line for your templates and then click on “Start A/B Test”.
