How do I create custom fields within a MDF fund?

You can add custom fields to MDF requests to obtain more information on behalf of the submitter OR even create internal fields for the Approver to update before they approve the request.

To add a custom field to your MDF fund plans, follow the steps below.

1. Click on Setup > Custom Fields > MDF Custom fields


2. Click "Add Another Form Field".


3. At a minimum, enter a "Field Type" (what type of data/information can the use enter?), "Parser Name" (how will this field name appear in code?), and "Field Display Name" (how will the data field appear to the user?), when you are finished with your entries, hit "Save".


4. Your updated field will appear as follows:


5. You can use the icons directly above the upper right hand corner of the data entry field to make any further adjustments. When you are finished, click "Save". 


The icon functions are as follows: 
A. Edit custom data entry field
B. Delete custom data entry field
C. Move/Reposition custom data entry field
