How do I share Contact Lists with Partner Admins and Channel Managers?

The functionality to share contact lists with Partner Admins and Channel Managers has been introduced in Recipient Lists, Smart Lists,
and Company Smart Lists. This allows for streamlined access management, ensuring that relevant contacts are shared with appropriate organizational users.

New Tabs for Partner Admins and Channel Managers

  1. Two new tabs, Partner Admins and Channel Managers, have been added to the Sharing Page of Recipient Lists, Smart Lists, and Company Smart Lists.
  2. These tabs allow lists to be shared with users based on their organizational roles.

Sharing with Partner Admins

  • The Partner Admins tab displays organizations that have users assigned as Partner Admins.

  • Selecting "All" in this tab shares the contact list with all Partner Admin users across organizations.

  • Selecting a specific organization restricts sharing to only the Partner Admins within that organization.

Sharing with Channel Managers

  • The Channel Managers tab works similar to Partner Admins.

  • Selecting "All" shares the contact list with all Channel Manager users in the company.

  • Selecting a specific organization restricts sharing to only the Channel Managers within that organization.

Behavior in Company Smart Lists

  • The same functionality applies to Company Smart Lists when sharing with Partner Admins and Channel Managers.

  • However, in Partner Admins for Company Smart Lists, only a single organization can be selected—there is no "All" option.

  • The same applies to Channel Managers in this context.

Managing Users and Updating Access

  1. Adding Users After Sharing a List

    • Users can be added to an organization at any time.

    • If a new Partner Admin or Channel Manager is added after a contact list has been shared, the new user will automatically receive access to the shared list.

  2. Unsharing Contacts from Users

    • Contacts can be unshared manually by selecting the "Unshare" option.

    • Selecting "Unshare" removes access for all users in that role (Partner Admins or Channel Managers).

    • If a user is removed from an organization, their access is not automatically revoked; manual unsharing is required.

Conclusion:

The introduction of Partner Admins and Channel Managers tabs in the Sharing Page enhances flexibility in managing contact list access. By enabling
role-based sharing within organizations, this feature ensures efficient collaboration while maintaining data control. Manual unsharing options provide
further access management, ensuring that only authorized users retain contact list visibility.
