How do I work with Zoho projects to complete custom development work?

When your project hits a critical stage where you need to submit frequent issues or updates, it's important that updates are communicated as soon as possible to internal and external Mindmatrix team members. For this purpose, we share a project management tool with your team in order to collect information as efficiently and speedily as possible and hand off to our internal team members as needed.

Logging issues or concerns in your project

When you get access to your project, the first thing you should do is click the link in your invitation email to access the project log. Review your options to log new items. Often times your Project Manager (PM) will include categories customized for your project.

Submit issues or tasks using Kanban view

For ease of use--we recommend that clients use the Kanban view in projects. This way you can quickly see the progression of items being resolved, as well as new issues or tasks you add to your project.

To access the Kanban view, click "Kanban" at the top of the page.

This will expose a series of stages designed by your Project Manager to ensure the streamlined review of any issues.

Add new tasks under "Not Started" so they are properly assigned. Below is a breakdown of the statuses you'll see in a standard project log under Kanban view:
  1. Not Started
  2. Backlog
  3. In Progress (On Track)
  4. In Progress (Off Track)
  5. Review
As you create a new task, you can default it to Bugs (Roadblocks). The Mindmatrix project manager or technical lead will recategorize this task as necessary. This will save you time in logging issues.

Complete just 4 fields:
  1. Task name
  2. Description
  3. Priority
  4. Task List (Will default, Mindmatrix will reassign as needed).
Include:
  1. Screenshots (Required whenever possible)
  2. User account details where the issue occurred
  3. Name of asset or section of product (if applicable)
New tasks will automatically be assigned a status, such as "Needs review by Mindmatrix". Your project manager or technical lead will review your submissions and update them to request more details.
How does updating the project log help?

Using the project log, Mindmatrix team members can efficiently -
  1. Assign new tasks to owners that can address issues
  2. Request additional information if needed for resolution
  3. Identify duplicate issues and merge tasks if needed
  4. Hand off issues to your team members for sign off to close out issues
