How do I use weighted round robin method for lead routing?

How do I use weighted round robin method for lead routing?

Feature:
The round robin method is useful and most simple method to route leads to Partners in rotation. The weighted lead routing strategy can be used to divide the leads fairly between Partners, based on performance, tier, location, and team strengths.

Who will be using this?

This feature can be used by Users who have access to create Lead Routing in the Company.

Benefits:

This will provide distribution of the leads based on criteria like performance, tier, location, and team strengths. This will make the Partners fueled by competition with one another to qualify and convert a high number of sales leads.

Process:

In the “Organizations” page grid of the Lead Routing based on Organization (Partner), there will be the ‘Ranking’ and ‘Weighted per Rotation displayed in the grid for the "Assigned" Folder.

By default, the ‘Ranking’ will be provided based on the addition of the Organization (Partners) and the default ‘Weighted per Rotation’ will be 1. There will be a button for "Reorder Ranking and/or provide Weighted".

Clicking on this will load all the assigned Users/Organizations on a single page and User can move and re-order the ranking or provide the "Weighted per Rotation" (default will be 1) The Weighted text boxes will take positive numbers up to 2 digits.

On saving, the ranking and weighted will be displayed in the "Assigned".

If different “Weighted per Rotation” is provided in a Lead Pool, then the distribution will be done based on weight index and then rank. Every round for lead distribution is based on who ever has the highest weight and then relative weight index is subtracted from that Organization's remaining weight and then the next round begins. The relative weight index is all the weights scaled out to a common denominator so that they are all on equal footing. Once all weights are <= 0 the weights are reset and round 1 starts over. Therefore, whoever has the highest weight goes next but if there is a tie, the rank will be used as the tie breaker.
