Why do I need a sandbox for my integrations with Mindmatrix?

Sandboxes are great ways to test out your implementation before making specialized features available to all users. Our services department has a sandbox setup process that is designed to help you review your needs and go to launch as soon  as possible.

When are sandboxes used?

The sandbox setup is required for any:
  1. CRM or Third party integration with Mindmatrix software
  2. Customization of the Mindmatrix product
It is NOT required to:
  1. Setup assets within Mindmatrix software
  2. Create roles, groups or organizations
  3. Make changes or updates to your dashboard
  4. Generally utilize any standard Mindmatrix features

Understanding the sandbox process

When you first sign up for any integration or custom feature with Mindmatrix, our team immediately begins to setup your sandbox. Since we test and verify functionality of specific use cases related to your usage of Mindmatrix, we will only personalize areas of the sandbox that are related to testing your particular custom use-case.

Once we finish setting up new functionality within your sandbox of Mindmatrix, we'll hold a sign off and review meeting to verify that everything is setup properly. After this period, we'll work with you to schedule a release on our production environment.

What if I don't want to use the sandbox?

If you choose not to use a sandbox, you are opting out of the following benefits:
  1. Faster updates if any changes to custom functionality are required
  2. Avoiding any risks to your production environment or data 
  3. The opportunity to timely document any custom work created on your behalf
Sometimes, your enablement team may not recommend using a sandbox. However, in any case where a sandbox is setup you will be advised as part of the customization or integration process.
