How to Import Contact Offline Activity Records

Part One: Formatting a TXT or CSV File for Upload


The .txt or .csv file containing the contact activity records should have columns for some or all of the following information categories: 




  1. Column Title: Email  

Column Entry Format : Contact email address (in text form)

Column Entry Example: Demo1@mindmatrix.net


  1. Column Title: Activity Name

Column Entry Format: Text


  1. Column Title: Activity Description

Column Entry Format: Text


  1. Column Title: Activity Type

Column Entry Format: Text

Column Entry Options: Demo, Direct Mail, Event, Meeting, Networking, Phone Call, Social Media, Trade Show, Voice Mail, Email, Other.


  1. Column Title: Activity Date-Time

Column Entry Format: Month/Day/Year Hour:Minute AM-PM

Column Entry Example: 4/23/2022 12:45 PM


Column titles do not have to match the one’s listed above, but doing so will make the field-mapping process more convenient. 


Part Two: Formatting a TXT or CSV File for Upload


Go to the “Connections” tab, and then select “Import Contact Offline Activities”. 




From there, click on the “Import” button. 




Select “Import .CSV or .TXT file” and then click “Go”




Choose a file from the document gallery.  If the file you plan to use is not already available in your gallery, you can use the “Upload” button to add files from your computer. When you have made your selection, click on the “next” arrow. 




Use the drop-down menus to select which spreadsheet columns the platform should draw from to fill in its information fields. When you have made your selections, click finish.




When the process is complete, you will find a new entry in your import records.
