Introduction and Overview
A new Password Management page has been introduced exclusively for Super Admin users to centralize and streamline all password-related activities within the platform. This enhancement provides comprehensive visibility into password reset requests and offers controlled tools to reset or trigger password changes for users, ensuring efficient management of user credentials while maintaining security standards.
The Password Management page consolidates all user password activities into a single interface, eliminating the need to navigate through multiple screens or rely on manual processes. Super Admins can now efficiently handle password issues, monitor pending requests, and take immediate action when users require assistance with their credentials.
Accessing the Password Management Page
The Password Management page is available exclusively to Super Admins and can be accessed by navigating to #setup/passwordresetrequest/list if enabled for your company. If this feature is not yet available, contact support@mindmatrix.net to request enablement.
The page contains two dedicated tabs that provide a consolidated view of user password activities:
Active Users – Lists all active users in the system with password management capabilities
Password Reset Requesters – Displays users who have submitted password reset requests
Password Reset Requesters Tab
The Password Reset Requesters tab displays all users who have submitted a password reset request through the system. This tab allows Super Admins to view pending requests and take immediate action to resolve password issues for users who are waiting for assistance.
Available Actions:
Manual Reset – Directly assign a temporary password to the user
Send Reset Email – Trigger the standard forgot password email process
Once an action is completed for a user, the user is automatically removed from the Password Reset Requesters tab, ensuring the list remains current and only displays pending requests that require attention.
Active Users Tab
The Active Users tab provides a comprehensive list of all active users in the system and enables password management actions regardless of whether a reset was requested. This tab is particularly useful when Super Admins need to proactively reset passwords for security purposes or assist users who have not formally submitted a reset request.Unlike the Password Reset Requesters tab, actions performed from the Active Users tab do not remove users from the list, ensuring continuous visibility of all active accounts for ongoing management and monitoring purposes.
Manual Reset Functionality
The Manual Reset option allows Super Admins to directly assign a temporary password to a user, providing immediate resolution for password-related issues. This functionality is ideal for situations requiring quick intervention, such as locked accounts or urgent access requirements.
Key Behavior:
The system enforces password security by not allowing reuse of the previous password.
After a manual reset, the user receives an email containing the temporary password with login instructions.
On next login, the user is automatically redirected to a mandatory password change screen and must set a new password before accessing the system.
Once the manual reset is completed, the user is removed from the Password Reset Requesters tab if the request originated there.
Send Reset Email Option
The Send Reset Email option triggers the standard "Forgot Password" email process, allowing users to reset their own passwords through a secure link. This self-service approach reduces administrative overhead while maintaining security protocols.
Process Details:
A reset email is sent to the user containing a secure, time-limited password reset link.
The user can reset their password through the link without requiring further administrator intervention.
After successful password reset, the user is automatically removed from the Password Reset Requesters tab.
User Experience During Password Reset
After receiving a temporary password through manual reset or a reset email link, users follow a streamlined process to regain secure access to their accounts. The system ensures that all password changes meet security requirements before granting full system access.
Password Reset Flow:
The user logs in using the temporary password or accesses the system through the reset link.
A mandatory password change screen is displayed immediately upon login.
The user sets a new password that meets the platform's security requirements, completing the reset process securely.

Conclusion
The Password Management page provides Super Admins with centralized control over all user password activities within a single, intuitive interface. By separating active users from reset requesters and offering both manual and automated reset options, the system ensures efficient resolution of password issues while maintaining robust security protocols.
This enhancement streamlines administrative workflows, reduces response time for password-related support requests, and provides complete visibility across all user accounts, enabling Super Admins to maintain secure and efficient user credential management throughout the organization.
