Feature:
Content syndication is a feature where web-based content is re-published by a third-party website. Any kind of digital content can be syndicated, including blog posts, articles, infographics, videos and more.
Who will be using this?
This feature will be used by Users based on permission and can be shared with other Users to syndicate.
Benefits:
The partner website gets free, relevant content. The content creator gets free exposure and publicity, and backlinks to their own website, which in turn boosts their organic traffic.
Process:
Clicking on "Create" will open a template editor with 3 steps: “Info”, “Pick List” and “Code”. In “Info” there will be Name (mandatory and default value as “New Content Syndication – {{date-time}}”), Description, and Filters.
In the “Pick List” step, the “Add Asset” modal will be displayed by default. This will list Landing pages (Templates and Medias), Web Banners (Templates and Medias), Blog Posts (Templates), Data Rooms (Templates and Medias) and Image Banners (Templates and Medias). Users can select any one asset from these to be used in Single Type Content Syndication.
The added asset will be displayed in the “Pick List” page from where the user can replace it but cannot remove it. The page with fa-th-list will have Thumbnail (default) and Card views, Search, Filters and Pagination.
The “Code” Step will have the code ready to be syndicated. There will be an option to provide the “Domain” if the syndication is to be restricted to a particular Domain only. If any template is selected then it will create Media of the template and provide it in the code. It will also display the preview of the asset in a dummy web page design. At any time the User changes the asset in the pick list internally it will change the content but the “Code” will always remain the same.
Note: If a template is selected and any change is done in the main template it won’t be reflected in the content syndication.
