Introduction:
The Account Smart List feature allows users to dynamically segment and manage accounts based on customizable conditions. It mirrors the functionality of the Contact Smart List and is ideal for targeted account workflows, reporting, automation, and sharing across teams.
Steps to Create an Account Smart List
1. Navigate to Smart Lists
Go to: Connections > Lists
Click on the “Account Smart Lists” tab.
2. Define Basic Details
A setup page will appear where you can:
Enter a Smart List Name
Add a Description (optional)
Proceed to define filter conditions
Filter Condition Types
The filtering engine supports multiple condition categories:
Sharing Options
After filters are configured, you can define sharing preferences:
Share With:
Individual Users
User Groups
Organizations
Organization Groups
Entire Companies
Visibility:
Shared lists appear in recipients’ Shared Folder.
If unshared, they’re automatically removed from that view.
Notification Preferences
In the Email step:
“Myself” – Send notifications to your own email.
“Creator” – Notify the user who created the account(s).
These settings are useful for alerting users about updates or automation tied to the Smart List.
Final Step: Save Your Smart List
Click Finish to create and activate the Smart List.
The list will now appear under the Account Smart Lists section and be ready for use in automations, reports, or email campaigns.
