Implementation of Manual Step Completion in Curriculum Module

Implementation of Manual Step Completion in Curriculum Module

Introduction:

An enhancement has been introduced in the Curriculum Module to replace the automatic step completion (triggered by clicking the “View” button) with a manual completion process. This update gives users more control over their learning journey by allowing them to mark each step as complete, manually.

Enabling Manual Step Completion

To enable this feature, the system administrator must configure a setting at the company level. Please contact support@mindmatrix.net, and the team will enable it for your company.

User Experience with Manual Step Completion

Once the setting is enabled and a curriculum is shared with a user, the following changes will be visible:

On the Course Catalog page under Manage Training, users will see the curriculum listed.

Upon opening the curriculum, each step will now display a “Mark Done” button.

When a user clicks “Mark Done”, the following confirmation prompt appears:

  • “Are you sure you want to mark this step as complete?”

  • Selecting Yes will mark the step as completed, increase the progress, and unlock the next step.

  • Selecting No will leave the step unchanged.

Important Notes

The manual mark done functionality is applicable for all asset types except:

  • MP4 video files

  • Certification steps

This feature is designed to provide enhanced flexibility and control over curriculum progression, particularly in scenarios where content review may require user discretion.

Conclusion:

This update introduces a manual process for step completion in the curriculum, replacing the automatic progression model. Once enabled by an Admin, users will need to manually confirm each completed step, ensuring more deliberate learning engagement.
