How do I create a Web A/B test?

How do I create a Web A/B test?

Feature: This is to test the performance of multiple landing pages and see which content is popular among the contacts and get more click rates.

1)      To create a Web  A/B test, go to "Reports" > Web > Web A/B test.

2)      Click on the “Create” button to create a new Web A/B test.

2.1)       How it works: The Web A/B test can be used to generate one URL linking to two separate landing pages.  You can use this URL on social media or in an email. Visitors clicking on the link will randomly see one of the landing pages - so out of a sample of 50 visitors - 25 might see landing page A and 25 might see landing B - and based on the reporting you can see which landing page performed better and if A had more signups than B, etc.
2.2)       To set it up: Give your test a name, and a unique Url. A Unique Url is basically a URL name you want to give to your A/B test. For example, for the following screenshot it will appear like www.msp.amp.vg/webtest_44/dq8z7ttuex7d0. The A/B test is done by tracking the visits to that Url. When someone opens this Url it will open one testing template from all the templates added to the test.

3)      Click on the “Add Template” to add multiple templates to the test. (Min 2 required)

4)      Clicking on the “Add Template” will lead you to the window from where you can select the templates for A/B Testing.

5)      Use the preview button to make sure that you are satisfied with your template or you can click on “Remove” to remove the template and then click on “Start A/B Test”.

6)      Then Click on Start to start the A/B Testing.

7)      The test will appear in Report> Web> Web A/B Test. (Name and URL)

 8)      Click on the test if you want to see the report. It will show the total visits, unique visits, and the time spent for each of the templates selected for testing.
You can check the reports for the templates and can compare which templates have been opened or have got clicked on the link the most.

Note - Please add the test link to the email templates before sending it out to see which landing page performs better.
